Comtrend expands G.hn Powerline family, saving time and money for installers.

Comtrend, a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced networking solutions, today announced the upcoming availability of their expanded G.hn Powerline family of products. Comtrend was the first to launch a HomeGrid Forum-certified G.hn Powerline
Adapter in 2014, and continues to be the leader in G.hn technology with the addition of Wave-2 products.
G.hn Powerline technology offers the best performance over in-home electrical wiring, with more than 4x data rate versus legacy Powerline technology. The upcoming G.hn Wave-2 products will consist of the pass-through Ethernet adapter (PG-9182PT) and the AC1200 dual-band Wireless adapter (PG-9182AC) that brings next-generation Wireless performance to remote locations. Following the release of the PG-9182PT and PG-9182AC will be an option with an integrated PoE port (PG-9182PoE) that seamlessly provides both data and power to IP Cameras and other PoE devices. Wave-2 technology offers an improved throughput rate of 2Gbps for the most bandwidth-intensive applications.

Both the PG-9182AC and the PG-9182PT are FCC- and UL-compliant, and include a pass-through socket that ensures users do not lose access to any of their power outlets. They will be available for sampling Q2 of 2018.
The PG-9182PoE is the next scheduled G.hn Wave-2 Powerline adapter to follow.
