Comtrend joins the HomeGrid Forum booth to unveil the latest developments in G.hn technology.
IRVINE, CA—Comtrend unveils their revolutionary G.hn product line at CES that includes the three main G.hn system types (powerline, phoneline, and coax). Comtrend’s PG-9172 G.hn Powerline Adapter, GCA-6000 G.hn Coax Adapter, and GPA-6000 G.hn Phoneline Adapter were on display in the HomeGrid Forum booth, as well as having their G.hn Powerline Adapter participate in a live demonstration handling Ultra-HD services.
The HomeGrid Forum booth showed the growing momentum of G.hn technology by showcasing G.hn networks with multi-vendor interoperability, large-scale networks, operation in multi-dwelling units and a PLC-based Smart Home demonstration. One live demonstration included consumer devices with built-in G.hn handling Ultra-HD services, and multi-vendor solutions for gigabit home networking. The demonstrations were designed to show that users can connect any device, anywhere in the home, over any wire using the fastest and most reliable networking technology available today.
For the first time, smart TVs and WiFi routers with embedded G.hn were on display. In addition, HomeGrid members showed how G.hn accomodates ‘Neighboring Networks’ interference in multi-dwelling units (MDUs), a key differentiator between G.hn and other home networking technologies. G.hn networks can operate over all of the major types of wiring used in homes today, are simple and easy to install. Likewise, they support the latest developments in high bit-rate applications, in particular reliably transporting multiple streams of 3D, 4K and Ultra-HD video around the home.
Comtrend looks forward to the growth of G.hn technology.
